After your literature circle has met face to face. Please summarize your discussion breifly concentrating on the discussion your group had. For example, if I were reading The Hunger Games, as question I may have at the middle of the book is why does Katniss feel she has to defy the capitol and "show them?"

ReplyDeleteThe other day in class we discussed symbols in your novel, please tell about what symbols you saw present in your novel, then discuss what they symbolize. You may want to do some online research about universal symbols that occur in many novels if you think you have a universal symbol (some examples are: gold, animals, and colors such as red).

One of the symbols I found was magic. It is magic because magic in Artemis Fowl is like something you need the more you have the better off you are. Artemis doesnt have any magic but he is stealing it from Holly Short. Artemis and Butler captured Holly Short,who is a fairy,one day.

ReplyDeleteI also think magic is the symbol because what Artemis wants is too steal the fairy and to steal her magic. Magic plays an important role because the fairies that try to find Holly use magic to find her. Foaly uses magic to make different things for LEP officers. Which shows how magic is a very big deal in the book Artemis Fowl.
